This was an OK idea for a setup, but again it’s so much easier to take these trades with-trend
The move into was fast and it was probably impossible to get an entry at the top of the bar, but there were opportunities. The only way to do these trades successfully is to:
- decide in advance where the entry needs to be for the SL and TP to make sense – in this case, the entry needed to be 12111 or higher to get BE at gap close
- use orders and if they don’t fill then the setup isn’t triggered and that’s that
