Using my ‘Rule of 3’ to select triangles

During the testing phase of my trade plan, I got into a lot of trouble with my less specfic setups (KL break, M1 TL breaks) because I would revenge trade trade while believing I was seeing valid sets.

Using my ‘Rule of 3’ prevents these random trades and also makes it easier to categorise valid setups vs, random ‘On Tilt’ trades in Edgewonk. The rule is that as well as the setup, there must be three other reasons to take the trade. One of these reasons can be the TP if it is a strong level.

This is a lovely example of an awkward but valid triangle which gave 1R in tricky, ranging PA
And here’s another example – I didn’t see the pink triangle at the time – but this gives another 1R opportunity; SUP 1, Fut close, 169 and the 21 Day MA below
