Why does it hurt so much to lose?
The answer is obvious. I had something, I don’t have it now and I wish I did.
The lost thing might be money. In that case, people might say, ‘it’s only money.’ Or it might be heartbreak over a person who is no longer in your life, and the people will say, ‘plenty more fish in the sea!’ or ‘time will heal it, you’ll get over it.
The usual way of looking at things is to say that the pain is caused by missing what’s been lost, but the Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) perspective is different, and it uses the following concepts.
